Professional Development Workshops

Culverhouse Connections Professional Development Workshops are designed to offer students an opportunity to develop the personal and professional skills that complement their classroom knowledge and make them competitive candidates for career opportunities. Workshops are free to Culverhouse students and lunch or refreshments may be provided. Workshops are typically held at the lunch hour or early afternoon and may be led by faculty, staff, alumni, or recruiters from organizations and companies that hire UA students.

Workshops vary each semester but can include topics such as:

  • Professional etiquette and dress
  • Resume building
  • Networking
  • Career-fair preparation
  • Interviewing Skills
  • Living and working in major cities
  • Critical interpersonal skills for today’s successful business executives
